Here you will find an authentic Seafood Paella recipe which is one of the most well-known dishes of Spain. Paella is to be enjoyed with family and friends and symbolizes the importance of gathering the people you love all together.

Heat the extra virgin olive oil in the pan, add the strips of pepper and fry until they start to soften. Remove and reserve for garnish.
Fry the fish or the meat portions at medium heat until they are brown and add the tomato, garlic and parsley already crushed. Add also the pulses and vegetables and mix everything properly.
Add the water and when it starts boiling just add the rice, distributing it evenly over the pan and add also one sachet of LA Pote natural seasoning for seafood paella, season to taste with salt and garnish the paella with the strips of red pepper before reserved.
Cook for around 20 minutes, turn off the heat, cover the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
One part of rice and three parts of water - 25 ml extra virgin olive oil per 100 g rice. The heat should be evenly distributed under the entire base of the paella pan.

Before the first use, you should wash the product well with soap and water or if you prefer you can boil some hot water over low heat for 10-15 minutes, you can also add a little vinegar. Once clean, be sure to dry it quickly and cover it with a layer oil. Do not let it dry outdoors and do not put it in the dishwasher. When storing, keep it in a dry place and keep it wrapped paper or a plastic bag, if possible.
Never leave the empty container on the fire for a long time because it may overheat. Constantly check the level of the flame or fire. For cooking you can use stainless steel and wood items, the use of plastic items is not recommended. When cleaning, do not use scouring pads or abrasive products that may scratch the surface. Keep in mind that you have to use adequate protection, because when cooking, all parts of the utensil are hot. Never leave the product on fire unattended or within reach of children. Remember that after using it you should dry it quickly and apply a layer of oiL. Store it in a cool, dry place. Our products are not non-stick items.
Rice is the base ingredient for this preparation and while there are many varieties nowadays, it is recommended to stick to a local produced rice of medium grain that will cook itself absorbing the broth or stock without any need of steering (opposite to other famous rice preparations like risotto)

Sadly being such an expensive product and due to the difficulty for the consumer to evaluate the quality or to know what to expect is has been historically adulterated so it is important to use saffron from a reputed long stablished brand.
